Patients receive extended daily consultations—up to two hours each—allowing for thorough assessments and feedback. We prioritise compassionate communication and individual attention for every patient.
To support recovery beyond the ICU, our team coordinates seamless transitions to step-down or frail care facilities, ensuring continuity and peace of mind. Families receive regular updates through our secure one-way communication system, keeping them informed without disrupting the care process—offering clarity and reassurance every step of the way.
Patients may enter the Criticare ICU through the emergency department, consulting rooms, or direct referral from another hospital. Located on the 4th floor of Life The Glynnwood Hospital, our ICU follows a structured daily routine with specialist ward rounds, multidisciplinary evaluations, and family visitation with feedback. A dedicated team manages all aspects of care, from admission to discharge. After ICU, patients may move to a step-down facility, general ward, referring hospital, or be discharged home with support.
SICU and 4 West are located on the 4th floor of Life The Glynnwood Hospital. To maintain a calm and safe healing environment, only two visitors are allowed per patient at a time. We kindly ask all visitors to speak softly and respect the quiet atmosphere of the ICU. For infection control, please sanitize your hands before entering the unit.
Please note that face-to-face communication with doctors and specialists is limited to the scheduled consultation times at the patient’s bedside. If further updates are required, these will be shared via our secure one-way communication channel. Our specialists are on call at all times, and while emergencies may occasionally affect consultation schedules, their priority is always to provide the best possible care for every patient. Between consultations, doctors continue to assess patients, guide the nursing team, and document care so that each specialist on duty has all the information needed to ensure seamless, expert treatment.
